Love Me Tender
In this series of work I utilized vintage
images from old magazines and other found print sources from a seemingly more innocent time. Images are recycled and re-imagined, layered with paint and woven in drawings in a
brand new context. Bright, cheery imagery often gives way to more cynical undertones. Sometimes sincere and sometimes satirical, the shared body of work expresses the expectations and fragilities of
modern relationships and juxtaposes naivities of our childhood with our young adult realities.
